Consultant or Sales Person?
How do you know who you are are hiring?
ImageWorks, LLC provides quality web design, web development, hosting, and Search Engine Optimization Services. You can say we are a full service web/ internet publishing company. ImageWorks, LLC prides itself on working closely with the customer to provide the best quality work to the customer's satisfaction. We provide a consultants perspective on what might work best for a specific customer, integrating a web initiative with their existing marketing efforts, rather than selling whatever our solution is. If we were to just "sell" to our customers, we would give to our customers what we wanted to have them buy, rather than what the customer needs in the long term.
When a first time customer contacts us for services that we provide, we ask many questions through the process and advise the customer what he or she might want, giving examples of what has worked in the past as well as examples of what has not worked in the past, so that the customer can make an educated decision.
That being said, there are many times that a customer disregards our suggestions and has their own vision of what they want. In this case, we consult on why this may or may not be such a good solution, but ultimately, we provide what the customer wants. Again, if we were simply here to "sell" our services, we would push our idea to close the deal, negating what a customer might want. Here at ImageWorks, LLC, we pride ourselves on our customer satisfaction and retention, which is ultimately garnered through our consultative nature.
Hence, the difference between a salesperson and a consultant.
